On the Court
Truly cinematic.
Texas Tech is up to No. 9 in the latest AP poll and this should not upset you, but a guy named Randy Heitz has Texas Tech unranked. I think the AP Poll used to be very meaningful, but metrics like at KenPom and T-Rank are significantly better barometers of teams and the selection committee knows that.
On the Gridiron
Open For Business has the latest on the possible resolution between Clemson and Florida State and the ACC, essentially the parties have agreed to a new revenue distribution model that will likely last until 2030.
Heartland College Sports has the win totals for 2025 and Texas Tech is 8.5. You can check out the rest of the Big 12, but that’s a pretty good win total to bet for Texas Tech. I think I’m taking the over, which is crazy considering my usual pessimistic thought process.
If you are into the NFL Combine the official site has a Combine tracker for Texas Tech players if that’s your thing.
