The Lady Raiders beat BYU on Saturday, led by 19 from Jasmine Shavers and Bailey Maupin. Still 21 turnovers, but a win is a win. They will play on the road against Houston on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

On the Gridiron

2026 New Braunfels cornerback Luke Bell (6-1/175) committed to Texas Tech on Saturday (Rivals | 24/7 Sports | On3). Bell is unranked from what I can tell and doesn’t have any other offers other than Texas Tech. This is one of those situations where we don’t know a ton about him (I couldn’t find very much) but that doesn’t mean anything, so for me, the best course of action is to wait and see.

The Red Raiders made waves in college football free agency. Illinois State offensive lineman Hunter Zambrano announced for Texas Tech soon after the winter window opened and he ranked as the No. 1 overall interior offensive lineman available. Zambrano is a big boost to a Texas Tech offensive line needing proven bodies. The Red Raiders appear serious about competing for a league title under Joey McGuire.
