1. Stats. I don’t think this is the K-State team that Wildcat fans were expecting. The offense is okay, but they are just mid in terms of offensive rebounding, 129th, and shooting as well, 126th in 3-point shooting and 105th in 2-point shooting. They are pretty terrible in terms of turnover rate, 247th, free throw rate, 273rd, and free throw percentage, 304th. Defensively, things are not good there either, they are 294th in guarding the 3-point percentage, 252nd in allowing offensive rebounding, and don’t block shots either, 190th.
2. Scouting. N’Guessan is the best player, a high-end rebounder and doesn’t turn the ball over as well as shooting 69% inside the arc. Hausen is the Abilene native that travelled to Villanova his freshman year and is now at K-State where he is shooting 41% from deep. Hawkins was supposed to be “the player” for the Wildcats and he’s still a good rebounder, but he’s not making shots, 47% inside the arc and for some reason is taking a lot of 3-point shots, making just 32%. McDaniel is the best passer on the team, while Hawkins is a good facilitator as well.
3. How They Match Up. I’m not sure what Kansas State is, but Texas Tech should be a pretty heavy favorite. Statistically, Texas Tech has advantages across the board, and this is a game where Texas Tech will need to be really efficient offensively to take advantage of Kansas State. I am hopeful that Texas Tech has learned that they have to finish games at the line, I am still bothered about where that game on Saturday wasn’t finished and there were 3 opportunities to do so.

Toppin led Tech with nine rebounds against the Cyclones, while McMillian had eight rebounds and Anderson was 4-for-4 on 3-pointers.
