Survey
Thanks for taking the survey from yesterday (feel free to take it if you haven’t and I would appreciate your input). We’ve had 243 responses thus far and I think that’s great, would love if more people completed. I apologize for the mistakes and errors, I’ll make sure and have that fixed so that when we do this next year it’s a bit better.

Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s Nathan Giese goes to a handful of sports and players to ask them about the switch to adidas:
Another fall sport, women’s soccer, has also enjoyed the transition. Kylie Bahr said Monday it felt like she could’ve played a full 90 minutes with the first pair of cleats she tried on.
“I also love how the adidas shoes, they made a women’s style,” Bahr said. “I have very narrow feet, so a lot of times I have to lace them super tight, but with adidas it kind of just took all that away.”
After being named a 2024 inductee into the Texas Tech Hall of Honor, track and field coach Wes Kittley said adidas’ track and field spikes were “phenomenal.”
On the Pitch
Texas Tech soccer is ranked No. 8 in the preseason United Soccer Coaches poll.
Lubbock Avalanche-Journal’s Nathan Giese on how Texas Tech soccer wishes to build on their terrific 2023 season:
You’ve got to be thinking beyond that,” head coach Tom Stone said of the Big 12 title. “You’ve got to have bigger goals than just that. By doing so, then you might win it along the way, but you may not win it and have a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, which is also awesome.
“I think it just kind of solidified that narrative. It emboldened our girls to know that they can play with anybody and we’re excited this year about again playing against anybody.”
