I’m back from being out of town for a day and it sure seemed like a lot happened. We found out that Lamar Washington decided to enter the transfer portal and that’s completely understandable given his playing time. From my end of things, I always appreciated how hard he worked when he was on the court.

Then, in a bit of a twist, we found out that Devan Cambridge did NOT put his name in the portal and will actually return to Texas Tech. How can this happen, a player being reported as in the portal, but actually not in the portal and returning? I don’t know, seems weird at the least and I have a difficult time “blaming” the reports because they are just repeating what they are told so maybe Cambridge just changed his mind. I’d also add that I’m glad that Cambridge is returning, I liked the type of player he was before he was hurt and think that he’s close to a double-digit scorer, so that’s a positive.
