I promised a weekend open thread and am here to deliver. Baseball and softball both lost again yesterday and, as a result, have lost the series for each. Womp, womp.

Texas Tech basketball secured the services of preferred walk-on Jazz Henderson, Jr. Having played for Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy and also club basketball for Southern Assault. Faith Family is a basketball powerhouse, while Southern Assault is as well. I know more about Southern Assault in the sense that this is the premier Adidas team in Dallas and the only one sponsored by Adidas. If you are asked to play for Southern Assault then this means you are one of the top players in the city/area. This commitment is likely a direct result of Kellen Buffington most likely and although I don’t know if Henderson had any other offers, but he’s likely more than just a preferred walk-on in the sense that he’s a very good player that might contribute more than just walk-on status.
