Pretty cool. Ludivg Aberg had the most dominating performance in route to winning the Big 12 Championships, shooting -15 in four rounds and winning by 8 strokes, which is the 4th largest in Big 12 history and the only back-to-back winner in Big 12 history. Congrats!

Texas Tech Lady Raider head coach Krista Gerlich secured the commitment of former Florida Gator and 5-star high schooler Jordyn Merritt (6’3″). Merritt averaged about 22 minutes a game, 7 points, 5.4 boards, 1.4 assists, and 1 block. Shooting was an issue, making just 29% of her shots, but shot much better as a sophomore, 43%.

The NFL Draft is tonight, or the first round starts and ends tonight with the remaining rounds going through the weekend. Texas Tech defensive end or linebacker Tyree Wilson is expected to be a first round pick, most likely top 10. You can find mock drafts that have Wilson going No. 2 overall to the Texans or anywhere in-between then and 10. Wilson will be in Kansas City, which is where the draft is held this year. Fun fact? Born in Anchorage, Alaska. Good luck to Tyree!
I didn’t want to lead with this, but Dallas Morning News Big 12 beat writer Chuck Carlton passed away while he was covering the Stars and Wild hockey series. Chuck covered the Big 12 as long as I can remember and if you ever wanted your reporters to report the news, that’s exactly what he did. Rest in peace Chuck and condolences to his family.
