1. Stats. I keep writing about how terrible the opposing teams are and Houston Christian are no different (except for 1 thing). They are 348th in turnover percentage and 321st in free throw rate as well as 228th in offensive rebounding percentage. Where the Huskies shine? Yep, it’s 3-point shooting, where they are 78th in the nation. Defensively, the news is not that good for them. They are 363rd in opposing eFG% and an astounding 363rd in allowing 2-point buckets, and 312th in allowing teams to grab those offensive board.
2. Scouting. Long and Hofman are your good volume 3-point shooters with Brazil and Klanjscek really struggling to make shots. Long and Hoffman are making 48% and 45% of 3-point shots. Hofman and Proctor along with Hudson are good rebounders and although King has a good assist rate, he has a higher turnover rate. Brazil will distribute the ball as well, but still turns the ball over a bit.
3. How They Match Up. This should be a game that Texas Tech absolutely dominates, much like Jackson State and should not be a replay of Eastern Washington or Nicholls. This game should be completely uninteresting other than the opportunity for players to continue to work on the same things they did against Jackson State. There is this game and one more against South Carolina State that are tune-ups before hitting the road to open Big 12 play, TCU, and then hosting Kansas. T-Rank is projecting that Texas Tech will go 18-13 if you are at all curious.

5. Official Site. The official site has their preview right here:
One last opportunity to impress Santa remains for the Texas Tech men’s basketball team which hosts Houston Christian at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the United Supermarkets Arena. The Red Raiders are currently on a 27-game home winning streak with a 6-0 home record this season.
Tech (8-2) is coming off a 102-52 win over Jackson State last Saturday in Houston for its fourth straight victory, while the Huskies (3-9) lost a pair of games to UTRGV coming into the matchup in Lubbock. Tech is 7-0 all-time in the series, including taking a 103-74 win back on November 13, 2019, at Midland College.
