Palfreeman played his first two years at Brock before transferring to All Saints episcopal as a junior.
Red Raider Sports’ Ben Golan spoke with Palfreeman about his commitment:
“Coach Emmett Jones, he gave me an offer when he was at Kansas and we’ve stayed in touch, so I knew him through that. Coach (Joey) McGuire, the day he became head coach at Texas Tech he re-offered me. Coach Kenny (Perry), he comes up to my school a lot so me and him got a good relationship and I talk to him a lot.
I chose Texas Tech because the coaches make it feel like a family. On my visit they showed real love. I got to see the whole campus, the locker room, put on the jerseys, eat food, stuff like that.”
The above linked article states that Palfreeman had 1, 234 yards and 4 touchdowns last year (which is probably receiving and rushing combined) and this On3 article affirms that Palfreeman caught 57 passes for 890 yards and 4 touchdowns but had 1,250 all-pupose yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore. Both articles mention that Palfreeman runs a 10.54 in the 100m and could run track.
Palfreeman’s video as a sophomore is one of those mixtures of a speed guy that defenders simply cannot catch and the quarterback just throws him open because he’s so deep. Palfreeman definitely has speed for days and that alone can be a trait that absolutely wins you games. Palfreeman also has some blocking clips in there late in hte video, which is always a good thing. As an aside, I love Brock’s uniforms, that yellow and blue looks great together.
