Hey all! I’m officially on vacation for the next few days, in lovely Flagstaff and Sedona. I didn’t watch last night’s game (the place I’m staying didn’t have cable) so I won’t comment on that other than I think getting to the championship game of the Big 12 Tournament helped propel this team to a solid #3 seed and probably playing in the South, in San Antonio.
My favorite bracketologist is Chris Dobbertean at Blogging the Bracket and he hasn’t updated his bracket as of this morning, but as of March 11th, he had Texas Tech in the South bracket in Ft. Worth next weekend. That would be ideal, especially because Dobbertean has LSU as the other high seed in that bracket and they just fired their head coach. CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm has Texas Tech as a #3 seed, but in San Diego and with Iowa being the other high seed. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi also has Texas Tech as a #3 seed in San Diego with St. Mary’s as the other high seed.
I don’t follow this stuff closely enough to have a strong opinion about what should or shouldn’t happen as far as seeding and placement, but I think that Texas Tech is squarely a #3 seed and where it falls from there is up to the selection committee. I hope everyone has a great day and we’ll see you tomorrow.
