1. Stats. Our old friends, the Kansas Jayhawks. The Jayhawk offense is scary, 25th in the nation in eFG%, they are just consistent shooters both inside and outside the 3-point line. They are also a terrific offensive rebounding team, 28th in the nation, and that’s what helps them a ton. They are middle of the road in terms of turnovers, 129th in turnover percentage. Defensively, they are solid and to be top 30 is awesome. They are 41st in defensive eFG%, 28th in 3-point percentage, and they’re just solid overall.
2. Scouting. Much like yesterday, really anyone can step-up and have themselves a game. Yesterday it was Lightfoot who just went off against TCU. Agbaji is the star of the show, he makes 55% inside the arc and 40% from deep. Just a terrific shooter, doesn’t turn the ball over, and has a high usage rate. Braun Wilson, and McCormack all are so good. Wilson and McCormack are terrific rebounders. Harris and Martin are terrific distributors. This is a very good team.
3. How They Match Up. When Texas Tech loses, it is usually because the offense doesn’t show up. I think that the offense is going to have to show up against Kansas. I’m exhausted, this is always tough to do with back-to-back-to-back games. You sort of know who these teams are.
