Mansfield safety Brenden Jordan became the 11th commit for the 2023 class.
Extremely blessed and excited to announce my commitment to @TexasTechFB. I would like to thank my family, coaches and teammates who have always believed in me and pushed me to be the best I can be on and off the field.

RedRaiderSport’s Ben Golan spoke with Jordan about his commitment:
“I chose Texas Tech because it felt like a family vibe when I went on my visit. I have a group chat with coach McGuire and coach Blanchard, we talk every day. I think they’re pretty cool dudes.
When I committed they were all excited. They lit the group chat up with a bunch of emojis and stuff and ‘Wreck ‘Em’, so it was nice.
I like the area, it’s nice and secluded. The city of Lubbock is nice, I like it over there.”
Inside the Red Raiders’ Jarrett Johnson also spoke to Jordan about his commitment:
“That visit was very crucial because it was pretty much like a one-on-one visit. There were a couple of other people there, but Coach McGuire sat down with me for an hour, meeting with me and my family. He’s a real nice guy. He coached at this high school that’s like 15 minutes from where I play now.”
Jordan moves well and my guess is that this is from before the season started or maybe before district play. It’s a bit difficult to tell exactly what separates him from some of the other video, not a ton to pick and choose from in terms of plays. Watching him and Chapman Lewis and it is difficult to determine (for me) what separates them, while Lewis is unrated for the most part. And that should be relatively encouraging in that players of similar player profile are already committed, but not yet rated. You can tell that Jordan has good speed and he’s already got some size to him.
Remember that I am keeping track of a bunch of data on the 2023 commitment page and will update this page once the various profiles are updated.
