Texas Tech Football Notebook: Ezukanma Enters the NFL Draft; UT’s Moore to Transfer to TTU

There will be no news breaks for Christmas!

Yesterday, Texas Tech receiver Erik Ezukanma announced that he would declare for the 2022 NFL Draft and not play in next week’s AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

Ezukanma had 48 catches and 705 yards, which led the team, along with 4 touchdowns this past year in 11 games. Ezukanma played in just 2 games in the 2018 season (probably maintaining his redshirt) and then burst onto the scene in 2019 where he had 664 yards on 42 receptions and 4 touchdowns. Last year in 2020 was Ezukanma’s best year, nabbing 46 receptions on 748 yards and 6 touchdowns.

This is well deserved and appreciate Ezukanma’s career. A player that always gave it his all, played really hard, and wish he had the ball in his hands more than he did.

Texas receiver Joshua Moore (6-1/168) announced that he would transfer to Texas Tech.

Last year Moore had 265 yards on 24 receptions and 3 touchdowns, averaging about 11 yards a catch. As a sophomore, Moore had 472 yards on 30 receptions and 9 touchdowns. Moore was a 4-star commit for the longhors, a top 100 player nationally, from Yoakum. It should be noted that Moore entered the transfer portal on November 8th.
