Texas Tech announced that they were one of 16 teams selected to host a regional tournament, the fifth consecutive year for Texas Tech to have earned this honor.

Today at 11:00 a.m. the entire 64-team field will be announced as well as whether or not Texas Tech will be a top 8 seed. It’s my guess that they won’t, but you never know.

As we cover some other Texas Tech sports happening, the men’s golf team has been on an absolute roller coaster for the NCAA Championship, leading the tournament after day one and then fighting to remain in the top 15 the next, which they just barely did yesterday. They’ll need to move up to the top 8 to advance to Tuesday and Wednesday.
