Some Thoughts

  • This was difficult!
  • I think the starting 5 is correct, largely, but after that, it was throwing darts in the dark for me.
  • I think the starting 5 will be okay, better than last year is my guess. There’s not a true freshman starting at left tackle, so that’s an improvement.
  • When I get to the second group, I’ve had to re-use players, at least Caleb Rogers, because I do think he’s the starting right tackle and if Storment is out for an extended period of time, Rogers probably slides to left tackle and Carde moves up to right tackle.
  • I also really don’t know what to do with Peterson, Verhulst, Franks, Moore, Roberson, Keeler, Tucker, and Jackson. I don’t know where they are expected to play.
  • Seems logical that Roberson would play left tackle given his size, but I just don’t hear a ton about him. I think that Peterson would work well at guard, I remember him being fairly nimble and could play guard, but thought that he would project to ta tackle, even right tackle. I also don’t know what to do with Verhulst, a senior that isn’t probably going to start, maybe he just plugs in where he’s needed? I remember loving Moore’s highlights (of course) coming out of high school, played with a nasty disposition, but moved really well for someone his size and thought he’d project at tackle as well.
