Texas Tech announced that TCU tackle T.J. Storment will play for the Red Raiders. The press release linked states that Storment will be immediately eligible and was obviously granted the ability to transfer in conference with the ability to start immediately. Storment started 19 games over the past two years, 2019 at Colorado State and 2020 at TCU.
We’ve added an All-Big 12 performer in the trenches 💪

This is a significant upgrade at any of the tackle positions. In fact, this is like going from an F to a C with the possibility to improve on that at the tackle position and Texas Tech didn’t have a C at tackle all year in terms of performance. Texas Tech is honestly fine at the skill positions, sans quarterback, but offensive line needed a significant upgrade and I absolutely love this. Storment will start from day one and maybe teams will have to game plan at offensive line in 2021 (trying not to get ahead of myself). And it is also perhaps an admission from the coaching staff about how poor the offensive line played last year. Now go do another offensive lineman or two.
