This is your open thread for today’s signing day. These are the players who are currently committed, with Behren Morton committed but re-evaluating as of David Yost’s commitment. I understand that Morton will still sign today, but not sure with what team. I am truly hoping he signs with Texas Tech, but you never know.
There are only 11 commits, all high school commits except for Roland, who is a JUCO defensive tackle. Let’s hope for the best on this thing. I do think that these guys are talented, they mostly all have multiple Power 5 offers, which is quite a bit different than year’s past.
If you look at the Rivals rankings in the Big 12, Texas Tech is 9th, but a lot of these things are based on quantity rather than quality. If you click on the average star rating, Texas Tech sits 4th overall (3.09), behind Oklahoma (3.8), Texas (3.39), and West Virginia (3.25), so the players are better, but there’s not a lot of them. If your cup of tea is 24/7 Sports, then you get similar results.
