Hey gang! The AP top 25 updated that pole and Texas Tech remains steady at #17, which given everything, seems right. If you ever crave content, CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish ranks the top 25 each and every day, including where he takes Kentucky out of his top 25. If you ever wanted to worry about Chris Beard leaving Texas Tech, I think he would give some serious thought to a true blue blood like Kentucky or Duke or Kansas (I don’t like typing these things, I’m just being honest with myself). Oh, and Parrish has Texas Tech at #16, which is I think good.
Kyler Edwards finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in Sunday’s 81-40 victory over Grambling. Marcus Santos-Silva added eight points and six rebounds.
NCAA’s Andy Katz has his Power 36 and only has Texas Tech at 34, which is up quite a bit because they weren’t rated previously. And Texas Tech really hasn’t played anyone except for Houston and lost by double-digits, so I’m good if someone doesn’t want to power rank (have never been quite sure the difference between a power rank and a regular rank) Texas Tech highly just yet.
Good news! The Lady Raiders scheduled a new game for Wednesday at noon against Angelo State, being streamed on ESPN+. Without this game, the Lady Raiders would have had Baylor coming up next without any sort of tune-up game, so I’m happy about this.
