With the NBA Draft tonight and football with a bye week, we have quite a few articles on Jahmi’us Ramsey and his NBA draft prospects:
* Avalanche-Journal’s Carlos Silva, Jr: Ready to go: Former Texas Tech guard Ramsey awaits name to be called in NBA Draft
* Dallas Morning News’ Callie Caplan: Duncanville to Texas Tech to NBA draft: Jahmi’us Ramsey’s winding basketball path will soon have pro home
Q: Back when you were in season, what was your biggest takeaway from playing at Texas Tech?
Ramsey: I feel like being able to balance both off-court and on-court, I learned that from Coach [Chris] Beard. You have to have a getaway to be your best on the court. You can’t just be strictly basketball, basketball, basketball. You have to have something to relieve you from basketball.
Q: What’s your getaway?
Ramsey: For me, it’s video games, going to the movies. I don’t really do much, watch Netflix. But I would definitely say for the most part, it’s video games.
* Sports Illustrated’s Jeremy Woo: NBA Mock Draft 8.0: Latest Projections for All 60 Picks – Has Ramsey going to the Knicks at the 38th pick
* CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish: NBA Mock Draft 2020: LaMelo Ball picked No. 1 by Timberwolves, James Wiseman goes No. 2 to Warriors – Has Ramsey going to Chicago with the 44th pick
There’s some concern that Jahmi’us Ramsey will be little more than a shooter in the NBA. But he’s good enough at that one thing to do get picked in the second round of this draft.
* The The Ringer and SB Nation does not have Ramsey going in the first round.
