Tuesday Open Thread

Not that it is any secret, but the family and I went to Eureka Springs in Arkansas for a few days. Eureka Springs is definitely unique, I like it quite a bit. The scenery is ridiculously nice and there are picturesque vistas almost everywhere you look. We did the zip line with kids yesterday and it was a ton of fun. Youssouf doesn’t blink at all with stuff like that, but Fitsum is cautious going up a ladder (just like dad).  Well, the 7th zip line is something like 2,000 feet, 300 feet above the trees, and it takes about 30 seconds to get from one end to the other.  Fitsum did it, and when he got done, his lips are trembling and he said, “Now I know what it’s like to be alive.” It wasn’t said with any sort of exclamation, but more of a realization. Pretty fun stuff.

Feel free to populate with Texas Tech links and tweets. Enjoy your day (I think we’re headed out to do some hiking).
