Well, this is sort of exciting. Arizona Wildcat senior linebacker Colin Schooler (6-1/229) has transferred to Texas Tech.

Not only is adding to the linebacker corps, but he’s also adding some strong work to the mustache gang.
Another big-time addition to our defense❗️

Schooler, in addition to having mad mustache game, is really talented. Make no mistake, Schooler is talented. Jordyn Brooks version 2.0. Schooler had 98 tackles last year, which led the team and averaged a shade over 8 tackles a game. Additionally, Schooler had 11 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, and 2 passes broken up. In 2018, Schooler was even better, which may have led to the reason why he transferred. Schooler had 119 tackles, nearly 10 a game, 21.5 tackles for a loss, and 3.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions.
This improves the defense significantly and I mentioned Brooks 2.0, but I’d guess that Brooks’ success last year played a role in having Schooler transfer. And now, this is the 5th defensive Power Five defensive transfer: LSU safety Eric Monroe; Michigan State linebacker Brandon Boyer-Randle; Duke linebacker Jacob Morgansterns; and Texas A&M defensive end Tyree Wilson.
I’m getting pretty excited about football.
