Dallas Morning News’ Chuck Carlton reports that the Big 12 has said that they are canceling the Big 12 Media days in person and will conduct them virtually:

“Given the uncertainty around the current environment and how much longer it’s going to last and with attendees having to make travel plans, it didn’t seem prudent for a traditional media day with a mass person gathering,” Big 12 spokesman Bob Burda said. “For the safety of all involved, it seemed like the wise thing to hold a virtual media day.”

This is probably the correct move given the current situation, although I think that things are trending towards a season happening in some form or fashion. I really don’t have any insight, but that’s just my thought.

Watch Stadium’s Jeff Goodman’s top 50 teams and has Texas Tech at #9 overall and I think that’s about right. Goodman also has a mock draft and doesn’t have Jahmi’us Ramsey drafted in the first round, but CBS Sports’ David Cobb has him being picked #20 overall to the Milwaukee Bucks (a possible trade up for the Bucks):

Jahmi’us Ramsey was ranked the No. 32 prospect in the 2019 class, and now he’s going No. 20 overall in the 2020 draft. That tells you a lot about the type of freshman season the young guard had at Texas Tech.

Bleacher/Report has Ramsey being picked 30th overall by the Bucks again:

“He’s a gifted isolation scorer who can bully weaker guards and shows terrific shot-making prowess from all over the floor thanks to his unlimited confidence and excellent mechanics pulling up off the dribble from long vantage points,” Givony wrote.

It’s possible that Ramsey could fall into the second round, but it’s more likely that he’ll be selected at some point late in the first round. With him being such a young age, he has the potential to keep getting better the next few years as he’ll gain experience in the NBA.

RedRaiderSports’ Ben Golan has his Q&A with incoming freshman Loic Fouonji:

What was the biggest reason you picked Texas Tech?
“The biggest reasons, Tech was my first offer, they were really the first school that took interest in me. Also nowadays with the coaching staff, it just feels like a family and everything just goes good and it’s a good chance for me to come in and make a difference.”
