I Choose You. Imagine an entire video of teachers telling students why they choose them, what inspires teachers to go to work every day. A full 7 minute video of teachers inspiring students. Students inspiring teachers. So I would tell you, that you do not have to be a teacher to do this. You can simply tell the person in your life why you choose them to be a better human, to get up every day, to go to work.

The wife and I also took my kids to see Sonic yesterday and they gave it a 5 out of 5 stars. They said the acting was great and they would definitely see it again. They are 8 and 9 and obviously have very discerning tastes.

Houston Challenge. Again, check out the schedule for a full breakdown of games, but the team went 2-2 this weekend, beating Syracuse on Friday, 4-3, beating Louisiana Tech 7-0 on Saturday, then losing the second Saturday game 1-2 to Houston, and losing to Syracuse in extra innings on Sunday, 2-3. The softball team has the Judi Garman Classic coming up this weekend in California, and will play LSU, Cal-State Fullerton, BYU, Michigan, and Grand Canyon this weekend.

First Time in 18 Years. Head coach Marlene Stollings said that this is the first time that Texas Tech has beaten Iowa State in Ames in 18 years. Brittany Brewer had 27 points, 10 rebounds, 7 blocks, and 2 steals. Huge turnaround for a team that lost to ISU at home earlier this year.

2-1 at the Round Rock Classic. Go check out the series thread for links, highlights, summaries, etc. on this weekend’s action, including last night’s 3-2 walk-off win against Houston. And on the second embedded tweet, watch the celebration, but stay for the waves goodbye to the Houston dugout. Up next are two mid-week games against Southern, Tuesday and Wednesday.
