Want a guy that will make a lot of tackles? Well, Krishon is your guy. He’s got 153 total tackles last year alone, 63 solo and 90 assisted. He “only” has 7.5 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks, but am guessing that’s not what the coaches asked him to do, which is not to rush the quarterback, but make tackles. I think this is a very solid commitment, not flashy and linebacker is a spot that I think is going to need some depth, so if Merriweather is part of the solution to replace Jordyn Brooks, along with some returners, then I think that’s a good thing. I’d also add that I think that Merriweather has 2 years to play 2 years. Some JUCO guys arrive with a redshirt year available, but I think that Merriweather redshirted his freshman year. The point being . . . he’s here to play pretty quickly.
