Corprew Will Not Return. Head coach Chris Beard told Jon Rothstein that forward Deshawn Corprew will not return to Texas Tech and will transfer. As you may recall, there was a Title IX incident reported against Corprew and then Beard suspended Corprew. I don’t know the status of the Title IX investigation, but obviously this may be confirmation that the incident was sufficient for Corprew to move on. And I suppose that Beard saying that Corprew will transfer is a bit better for Corprew rather than Corprew being terminated from the team.

There will be one scholarship spot to fill, which he could do with a transfer or something like that.

Chris Beard tells me that Deshawn Corprew will not return to Texas Tech and will transfer. Was suspended indefinitely. Averaged 5.0 PPG and 3.3 RPG in 13.5 MPG last season.
