Je’Vaun Dabon is the 6th of the 7 commits that we received word about over the weekend.

Dabon is surprisingly not rated by any of the services and does not have a profile for ESPN. That’s always interesting to me, especially when you have a player in a major metropolitan area that has at least one Power Five Offer not rated. Well, he’s got the measurable and the video looks . . . well . . . pretty good. Maybe it is a situation where Dabon didn’t receive a ton of playing time last year? According to MaxPreps, Dabon only played in 2 games as a sophomore, but then played in 9 as a junior, ending the year with 28 tackles, 1.5 TFL, and 1 interception (which may not be accurate as there were at least 4 picks in his highlights and he also nearly ran a pick back for a touchdown, not just 4 yards) But he’s got some plays there, I think he runs really well and he’s got a big frame. It is pretty nice that Keith Patterson and David Gibbs both liked similar player-types, long defensive backs that can probably play multiple positions.

My guess is that Dabon will have multiple Power Five offers by the time it’s all said and done and that he’s rated as a 3-star player sooner rather than later.
