Leading Off
Let’s Do This. I hope everyone had a great Father’s Day. If you’re like me, you’re probably more exhausted doing things for your father or father-in-law than you were going into the weekend, but that’s part of the deal. Let’s do the baseball thing. The series thread is fully updated, and ready for first pitch at 1:00 p.m.

Elimination Game. Here we are. Win and advance. Lose and go home. First pitch is at 1:00 p.m. and although I listed Caleb Kilian as the probable starter, head coach Tim Tadlock was elusive about naming a starter yesterday and could go with Bryce Bonin or Kilian. I guess we’ll find out at 1:00. Arkansas did announce that they’ll be rolling with Connor Noland (3-5, 4.00), which is also wrong than my guess for a probable starter.
WholeHogSports’ Scottie Bordelon wrote about Bonin and Easton Murrell, both Arkansas transfers who hope to now help Texas Tech get past the Hogs. A-J Media’s Carlos Silva, Jr. writes about the do-or-die scenario for the Red Raiders and the pitching situation for Tadlock:
“First of all, we haven’t decided for sure on that. Kind of looking at it this afternoon,” said Tadlock, when asked about what made Caleb Kilian ready for an elimination game situation. “But I would say, you’d like to think your whole team is built for moments like this. You worked throughout the whole year, put yourself in this position. These guys love playing baseball. … These guys have prepared, they’re ready for this moment. They just need to go out and trust what they do.”
Silva also wrote about sophomore Heston Kjerstad, who attended Randall in Amarillo.
Omaha World-Herald’s Brendan Sullivan has a notebook with some game notes between Texas Tech and Arkansas.
Backs against the wall.
Embrace the opportunity.

The Secret. I’m pretty sure that I’d always be motivated to do what I’m supposed to do with John Reilly motivating me.
Learning the secrets.

Ondigo to Rice. Via Jon Rothstein on Twitter, Malik Ondigo will be transferring to Rice. Congrats to Ondigo and go get’em!
Lots of Offers. Texas Tech made a bunch of offers to 2020 and 2021 players, including Langston Love, Moussa Diabate, Jerrell Colbert, Harrison Ingram, Will McLendon, P.J. Hall, Manny Obaseki, and Jonathan Aku. I don’t know who anyof these players are other than they are all 4-star or 5-star players and very talented

Camping. Texas Tech held a weekend camp and much like the basketball team offering a bunch of players I’ve never heard of, there were a bunch of players attending camp in Lubbock, so there were a bunch of player-men on campus. Hopefully this results in some commitments. RedRaiderSports’ Ben Golan has comments from players from June 13th and June 14th.
Kingsbury Spy Story. So there’s this story that’s just now coming out in some outlets, but it’s like 2 or 3 years old, that Kingsbury would sometimes use social media accounts to spy on kids. I would link to it, but it was news 2 or 3 years ago and I’m not all that interested in it because it’s not really news.
