Closed. The 4th game against Oregon was cancelled yesterday due to cold weather. Yes, it was cold and miserable in Dallas yesterday, which means that we’ll get what Lubbock had yesterday (but it’s supposed to be rainy and miserable today). A weekend series with Kentucky is up next.

#14. The AP Top 25 Poll for week 16 was released and Texas Tech is at #14. College Poll Tracker lets you know how each voter decided to vote. And CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm thinks that Texas Tech is a 4 seed in the East Region.
Winter is Coming. I don’t watch Game of Thrones, but I know enough to get the references. The program will give away t-shirts to the first 3,000 students on Saturday night for the white-out against Kansas.
The long night is coming.#4To1

East vs. West. ESPN’s Myron Medcalf wonders what an East vs. West all-star game would look like in college and Jarrett Culver gets picked as a starter for the West along with Wisconsin center Ethan Happ (not sure how Wisconsin is part of the West, but whatever), Gonzaga forward Brandon Clarke, Nevada forward Jordan Caroline, Culver, and Marquette guard Markus Howard.

Houston or San Antonio Tour Stop. Just curious if anyone attended the Matt Wells luncheon in San Antonio or the dinner in Houston yesterday? I didn’t really hear from anyone that attended the Dallas event last week. Curious what was said or if you picked up anything new. My guess is that there was nothing ground-breaking, but maybe you had the opportunity to meet Wells and talk to him. We’d love to hear from you in the comments. I did find this KENS5 report where the reporter needed to let Wells know that San Antonio has H.E.B. grocery stores.
