Here are your recruiting updates from the past week:
Football 2019:
- Eric Kumah, Virginia Tech WR, named his Top 6 of Cincinnati, Louisville, Notre Dame, Old Dominion, Penn State and Texas Tech.
- Cole Daggett, NR ILB, accepted a walk-on spot from Texas Tech. Daggett is from Fort Stockton, which is a few hours out of Lubbock.
- Gabriel Lozano, NR K, will walk-on at Texas Tech. The Red Raiders have added a lot of special teams players the past couple months.
Football 2020+:
- Avery Helm, 87 rated 2020 CB, received an offer from the Red Raiders on Tuesday. Helm is a big defensive back, which seems to be the trend for the defensive back offers.
- Sawyer Goram-Welch, 83 rated SDE, received an offer from Texas Tech on Tuesday. Goram-Welch has offers from Air Force, Louisiana Tech and SMU according to 247sports.
- Tyler Bailey, NR 2020 OT, received an offer from the Red Raiders on Thursday. Bailey also has offers from LSU and Oregon according to 247sports.
Basketball 2019:
- Damion Baugh, 90 rated CG, will make his decision on March 1st according to TexasTechHoopsFans. He’s narrowed his list to Memphis, TCU and Texas Tech.
Basketball 2020+:
- Che Evans, 93 rated 2020 SF, named his Top 6 of Boise State, Florida, Ohio State, TCU, Texas Tech and UCLA. Beard recently visited Evans and seems to be going hard after the junior.
- Micah Peavy, 93 rated 2020 SF, named his Top 5 of Houston, LSU, Michigan, TCU and Texas Tech on Tuesday. Peavy currently plays with current Texas Tech signee Jahmius Ramsey
