Signing Day Coverage. We will have an open thread on Wednesday for signing day and I’ll probably have some sort of wrap-up on Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Autographs. The baseball team was signing autographs before the game last night and you should probably get Josh Jung to sign a baseball at some point this season.

No. 18. Texas Tech dropped 2 spots in the latest AP Top 25, the Kansas loss is what folks remember, not the TCU blowout win, which is fine and expected. Now, let’s get a win in Norman.
Texas Tech Football
Big Stage. I thought it was great to have head coach Matt Wells meet students before the game and last night really felt like an infomercial for Texas Tech in a win with it being a blowout win. ESPN reporter Holly Rowe spent some time with Wells before the game, getting a tour of the sports performance center and getting two minutes on ESPN when no other football coach in the country got that opportunity.
“It’s the how. It’s what you do, but also how you do it through accountability, discipline, coaching your players hard and loving them hard. That’s how you build a culture.”
– @TTUCoachWells on the Big Monday broadcast.

Cinco and Kesean. Eli Howard, V and Kesean Carter get the official site treatment. We’re all witnessing player empowerment, which is really interesting and fun.
The names Cinco & we’re all about family here at Texas Tech.

Parker Chooses Kansas. I don’t have a link for this because I’m just running out of time, but long-time Texas Tech commit Steven Parker ended up committing to Kansas yesterday, going with the guy that originally recruited him, former receivers coach for Texas Tech, Emmett Jones. It definitely hurts to miss that one for sure and there’s no one on the board that’s going to replace that type of player (I don’t think).
