Okay, Texas Tech already had a punter committed and I’m not sure what Garibay will be for Texas Tech. Garibay made 6 of 8 field goals for Riverside C.C. and 60 of 62 extra points. Garibay’s longest field goal last year was against Long Beach. But Garibay also punted for Riverside, where he averaged 39 yards a punt, 11 inside the 20 (5 in one game, where he had 9 punts and Riverside lost 75-16), 2 touchbacks, and none blocked (RCCAthletics).
Kicking.
Punting.
And Garibay also kicked off, but I’m not going to embed the video of that (however you can find it by clicking on the Hudl link). Texas Tech has two other kicking commits, Austin McNamara, a punter, and Alex Orona, a kicker. I’m not at all certain what role Garibay will fill, but the staff obviously felt like they needed some other aspect of the kicking game added to the roster.
