It is superhero night, so students, dress like a super hero and possibly win some money I think.
Dread it. Run from it.
Destiny still arrives.

Coach Wells’ first tweet.
Fired up to be the head football coach at Texas Tech! Can’t wait to get with these players & coaches to field a team that all Red Raiders can be proud of! #WreckEm pic.twitter.com/ZPi1yS9Kex

RedRaiderSports’ Matt Clare has a list of players that the new staff can target, including two new offers in tight ends Travis Koontz (6-5/260) from Ventura C.C. and Leroy Watson (6-5/254) from Hutchinson C.C. Both Koontz and Watson announced on Twitter that they had been offered, so the staff is starting to figure out where the offense is at from a roster standpoint. As far as some of the other guys mentioned, I can’t say that I know anything about any of those guys really, I’ve somewhat stayed out of the recruiting stuff for most of the season, except when a player commits. The two quarterbacks that Clare mentions are Shae Suiaunoa (6-3/190) from Clear Lake and Brysen McKinney (6-3/195) from Mansfield Summit. Both are 3-star guys
Via Inside The Red Raiders’ Jarrett Johnson, defensive tackle Nelson Mbanasor has chosen to stay with the team after announcing his intent to transfer way back in November. So mark one in the book of a guy actually staying when it would be really easy to transfer.
We know for sure that Julius “Juice” Brown is your new defensive backs coach, although this hasn’t been officially announced. I’ll wait to do profiles on each of the coaches when they are officially announced. You can also check out his Utah State profile, graduated and played at Boise State, also coached at Arkansas State and Boise State before arriving in Logan at Utah State.
Via the LA Times, it appears that USC and head coach Clay Helton are close to hiring Kliff Kingsbury as their offensive coordinator.
