OddsShark has Texas Tech favored by 6.5 and that’s the line we’ll go with.

Straight Up (4-6): Texas Tech
Against the Spread (5-5): Texas Tech
Commentary: We have to win… this is not a game we can lose on the road to a sputtering Kansas State squad. I’m calling a 38-14 type blowout win, with a few different Red Raiders running backs finding the end zone. Wreck ‘em Tech!!!

Straight Up (6-4): Texas Tech
Against the Spread (5-5): Texas Tech
Commentary: I’m taking our Red Raiders again. I think this team is going to get back on track and make a statement against the Wildcats. There is a potential to win 8 games this season and these final two games are necessary to do that.

Straight Up (5-4): Texas Tech
Against the Spread (4-5): Texas Tech
Commentary: Go ahead an tack on another ‘L’ on my overall record for last week. Even though I didn’t get my official pick in, I would’ve gone for Tech to win. That hope still carries this week as I fully expect a solid victory in Manhattan no matter who lines up behind center. Tech’s defense will be able to contain the Alex Offense. Did I say solid victory? I meant commanding. You know, 42-21 type stuff.
Michael LaBarre
Straight Up (8-2): Texas Tech
Against the Spread (9-1): Texas Tech
Commentary: Every time I’ve seen a Kansas State game this year, I watch for five minutes then wonder why I’m not watching another game, so I change the channel. The wildcats were predicted to finish in the top half much like TCU, and have been a disaster much like them. That being said, this is being played in Manhattan, which has not been too kind to the Red Raiders this decade. The last time Tech won there was in 2008, and Bill Snyder wasn’t even the head coach that year. You have to go back to 2004 for the last time Snyder lost to Tech at home. Also, Bowman probably won’t play, so they’ll have to rely on Duffey again. However, Tech is a much better team than K-State and they should still win by at least a touchdown.

Straight Up (4-6): Texas Tech
Against the Spread (2-8): Texas Tech
Commentary: This game really could get out of hand, especially if the Wildcats are checked out or if Duffey protects the ball. While I am picking Tech to cover the spread, I think it’ll be really close to that number. Kansas State has done a good job limiting good Texas Tech offenses in the past, and it may be a two-score game until KSU scores late to close the gap. Tech should be in control of this game from early on. The only thing that is sticking in the back of my mind is how Tech performed in Ames two years ago. There are a lot of similarities between the two situations, I’m just counting on Tech getting off the bus and actually showing up to play in the cold than what we saw in 2016 in Ames.
Brian
Straight Up (8-2): Texas Tech
Against the Spread (6-4): Texas Tech
Commentary: If you’ve been reading my justifications in this space this year, then you know that I think this Texas Tech team is different than the ones we’ve had in the past. They take care of business when they’re supposed to, and they don’t fade away in the second quarter. For Tech to lose Saturday, it would have the be the worst case scenario in a worst case scenario, even with Duffey at QB. A David Lynch by way of Cronenberg feature. Morrissey would find the subject matter too much to write about. Snyder is a legend, and if somebody can rally this KSU team it would be him, but I don’t think it happens. I like TTU by two scores.
Seth
Straight Up (5-5): Texas Tech
Against the Spread (3-7): Texas Tech
Commentary: Don’t listen to me, listen to LaBarre.
