Here are your recruiting updates from the past week:
Football 2020+:
- Brendon Lewis, 90 rated 2020 DT-QB, received an offer from Texas Tech on Thursday. Lewis has 10+ offers so far according to 247sports.
- Sam Huard, 93 rated 2021 Pro-QB, talked to Zach Tanner of InsideTheRedRaiders about his offer. He talked to them about his offer, his reaction to it, and about Lubbock among other things. Random Fact: His dad was the back-up quarterback for Tom Brady during their early championships teams.
Basketball 2019:
- Jahmius Ramsey, 97 rated SG, did not make it to Indiana’s Hooiser Hysteria according to Jeff Rabjohns of 247sports. Ramsey is also mentioned in the Rivals article by Corey Evans about Texas Tech.
- Jalen Lecque, 97 rated SG, is committing somewhere on Tuesday. However, he is expected to commit to North Carolina State.
- Marcus Watson, 96 rated SG, talked to Dan McDonald of Rivals about his official visits. He has good words about Texas Tech, and they’ll have a shot at him. Georgia Tech is probably the favorite, however.
- Antwan January, 93 rated C, has a good chance of landing with the Red Raiders according to Corey Evans of Rivals. You can read this piece for more information about it.
- Khalid Thomas, NR JUCO PF, visited Lubbock this past weekend. Chris Beard has had a history of bringing experienced big men into the program since he rejoined Tech in 2016.
- Ryan Murphy, NR JUCO SG, committed to Washington State on Saturday. The New Mexico JC guard was being recruited by the Red Raiders.
