After three days of hiking (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) we took the kids to do “kids stuff” which included an aquarium in town, a ropes course and some really expensive but dumb candy (that candy that you could buy at the store for $1, but is $7 when you get it out of a tub and they charge by the pound). Most importantly, the kids had fun; however, they did ask when can we get back to the place we’re staying and get on their Kindle Fires (yeah, we’re cheap, but we know they’re going to break them). I had to tell them the story about how I never got to go on summer vacation and I’m pretty sure that they don’t remember it at all.
Have fun today and see you tomorrow.
