Here are your recruiting updates from the past week:
Football 2019:
- Trevor Roberson, 87 rated OT, committed to Texas Tech late Friday night (or early Saturday morning). Seth C wrote a quick story about him, along with 247sports and Rivals. Don Williams of the Lubbock AJ talked to him, and where Roberson said he is 7’0″, 370 pounds right now.
- La’Vontae Shernault, 87 rated WR, committed to the Red Raiders on Wednesday afternoon. I wrote something about his commitment, along with 247sports and Rivals.
- Simon Gonzalez, 83 rated TE, committed to Texas Tech on Friday night. I wrote a quick recap on the commitment on Friday, and 247sports and Rivals wrote something as well.
- Trey Cleveland, 82 rated WR, got an offer from the Red Raiders, then committed to them shortly after. Here’s a little something I wrote about it, and here’s something 247sports wrote about it.
- Bryce Robinson, 81 rated ILB, committed to the Red Raiders on Monday afternoon. Seth C wrote about him, as did 247sports and Rivals.
- Tyrique Matthews, 81 rated ILB, committed to Texas Tech on Sunday. I posted a story about it, and so did 247sports ($) and Rivals.
- Keeyon Stewart, 80 rated CB, received an offer from the Red Raiders on Saturday, then proceeded to commit to Texas Tech on Sunday. Seth C wrote a story on him, as did 247sports ($) and Rivals.
- King Doerue, 87 rated RB, named Texas Tech in his Top 10 on Saturday. Other schools listed are Notre Dame, TCU and Arkansas among others.
- Brandon Joseph, 86 rated S, named Texas Tech in his Top 8 on Sunday. Also listed are Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Vanderbilt.
- Langston Anderson, 85 rated WR, named the Red Raiders in his Top 10 on Friday. He also listed schools such as Arizona, Oklahoma State and Texas.
- Matt Jones, 83 rated ILB, picked up an offer from Texas Tech on June 10. Jones is a West Texas kid and currently has seven offers according to 247sports.
Basketball 2018:
- Kevin McCullar, 94 rated SF, visited Kansas State and Texas Tech this past week. He told TTUHoopsFans what he thought about the visit, and took photos with Malik Ondigo and Jarrett Culver. McCullar eliminated Louisville from his Top 5, so now it’s down to the two schools listed above along with Houston and Virginia Tech.
Basketball 2019+:
- RJ Hampton, 100 rated 2020 CG, was contacted by Texas Tech on Friday. Hampton is currently rated the third best recruit in the 2020 class by 247sports.
