San Angelo Time had the story first, but a few minutes:
“I’m fired up, man,” McIvor said. “Words can’t explain it. It’s been a long process and a good process, but I’m glad I made my decision and I’m ready to roll with it.”
RedRaiderSports’ Matt Clare expands quite a bit and McIvor talked about what what’s in the future for recruiting:
“For sure, I’m looking forward to helping add other guys into the mix now,” McIvor said. “I can do whatever is needed to help the coaches land more commitments. I’m not planning any other visits and still have my official visit, so I will be back to visit and meet some of the other recruits.”
There’s more there, as always, and McIvor said he intends on graduating early, so get ready for a December entry for McIvor.
McIvor has been the guy that I’ve been pining for for quite a while now and I’m really excited about Kingsbury and crew being able to close the deal. McIvor reminds me of a poor man’s Patrick Mahomes. He’s not the athlete that Mahomes is (that’s not a knock, that’s just supposed to be really complimentary of Mahomes), but he’s very good, he can run with the ball and he’s got a very good arm too. I like McIvor’s recognition of defenses as he reacts pretty quickly and he’s got nice touch as well. McIvor is the 11th player of the class and he’s one of the linchpins in my opinion.
