On Monday evening, Wagoner, Oklahoma, linebacker Patrick Curley committed to Texas Tech. Curley had some smaller offers and Texas Tech was obviously the biggest one.

I don’t remember who commented about this yesterday, but the number of times that Curley goes unblocked is danged impressive. Some of that is Curely somewhat sniffing things out, but most of the time Curley is just wide open to make a play without being blocked.
What do I see? Well, I think I see a pretty good athlete, but he didn’t play at a high level in Oklahoma (I’m guessing this as Wagoner isn’t a huge town). If you’re asking me to try to project what happens, well I really don’t know. Part of me thinks that if he adds another 20 pounds or so, he could be that stand-up defensive end. The problem is that I’m not sure how he deals with tackles because we simply don’t see that on the film. If he adds even more weight and gets in that 250 range, then maybe he’s a defensive end.
