The Ragin’ Cajuns Louisiana just hired Arizona State offensive coordinator Billy Napier as the new head coach and this provides Scott with the opportunity to be the defensive coordinator rather than just a position coach. The Texas Tech passing defense was 124th in the nation, 76th in Passing S&P+ and 110th in Passing Success Rate. And Inside The Red Raiders’ Jarrett Johnson confirmed Feldman’s report.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury will now need to replace the special teams position in addition to replacing Scott’s secondary position. Kingsbury will also have the new 10th position to fill as well.
