Big 12 Report: Week 13 Previews

Game: Baylor vs. TCU
Last Week: Iowa State 23, Baylor 13 | TCU 27, Texas Tech 3
Date & Time: Friday, November 24th @ 11:00 a.m.
Location: Amon G. Carter Stadium
Television: FS1
Line: TCU -24
Expert Commentary: This is pretty easy for TCU. Beat Baylor and then play Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship game. With or without Hill, TCU should easily beat Baylor because that defense is just so good. I think Robinson will still struggle against most Big 12 defenses so I think this game is probably going to closer than the 24 point spread and I’ll take those points, but TCU to win.
Game: Kansas vs. Oklahoma State
Last Week: Oklahoma 41, Kansas 3 | Kansas State 45, Oklahoma State 40
Date & Time: Saturday, November 25th @ 11:00 a.m.
Location: Boone Pickens Stadium
Television: FS1
Line: Oklahoma State -40
Expert Commentary: I’m trying to figure out the reason that Oklahoma State has to play this game, and other than trying to get another win for possibly a better bowl. Kansas State took it to the Cowboys and many of them were focused on Texas Tech beating TCU, but they couldn’t get past the Wildcats. I probably should just take Oklahoma State, but 40 points is a lot when OSU doesn’t have a ton to play for. I’ll take the points and the Cowboys to win.
Game: Iowa State vs. Kansas State
Last Week: Iowa State 23, Baylor 13 | Kansas State 45, Oklahoma State 40
Date & Time: Saturday, November 25th @ 2:30 p.m.
Location: Bill Snyder Family Stadium
Television: ESPN2
Line: Kansas State -2.5
Expert Commentary: This is really the best game of the Big 12 slate and who would have thought that in week 1 of the Big 12 season that ISU vs. KSU would be the best match-up in the last week of conference play? I’ve been wholly impressed with Iowa State’s turnaround, but I’m not betting against Bill Snyder at home. His team seems driven like no other since the Texas Tech win and they’re on a mission. The only thing that would derail this party-train would be if Skylar Thompson is hurt. If he is, then I’ll take ISU, but if he’s healthy, then I’ll take K-State.
Game: West Virginia vs. Oklahoma
Last Week: Texas 28, West Virginia 14 | Oklahoma 41, Kansas 3
Date & Time: Saturday, November 25th @ 2:45 p.m.
Location: Oklahoma Memorial Stadium
Television: ESPN
Line: Oklahoma -23
Expert Commentary: With Grier hurt, the spread is bigger than had he been healthy and it stinks that he can’t play. I think WVU had a tough time putting points on the board against UT and moving the ball forward. Oklahoma is on a mission and Baker Mayfield may be a “rick” with a “p”, but he’s a helluva football player (both things can be true and are not mutually exclusive). I’ll take the Sooners.
