These are the Texas Tech season highlights.
Texas Tech Football
A-J Media’s Don Williams writes about how linebacker coach Jake Spavital is happy to have Jordyn Brooks and Dakota Allen back at linebacker:
“To me, there’s an age part and I don’t mean by what they are on the football field,” Spavital said. “There’s an age part of your position room, and that’s one thing I haven’t really had since I’ve been here.
“He (Allen) is older. He’s been through a lot. He’s been through Texas Tech and we can talk about what he’s been through personally, but the thing that’s been cool is he’s got a little bit of old man age and maturity to him. If he’s not saying it vocally, it’s his actions, from taking care of his body to doing the little things that most of the young guys don’t really understand yet. He’s taken a professional aspect to the game and how he handles everything.”
There’s also a notebook of things, which mentions that nine Texas Tech players are graduating on Saturday: Talor Nunez, Cameron Batson, Dylan Cantrell, Kisean Allen, Zach Barnes, Paul Banks, Baylen Brown, Malik Jenkins and Payton Hendrix. Obviously, Barnes, Banks, Brown, and Jenkins have all finished their careers and Hendrix is transferring. Congratulations to all of them for receiving their degrees!
