Fulcher was offered and accepted a spot in Texas Tech’s 2018 class. Fulcher is a weird spot and I want you to watch his tape.
Fulcher is truly a slot back or halfback for a lot of those plays, not a wide receiver, which is what I thought considering Fulcher’s height and weight. It’s really odd watching a guy with that height and being as slight as he is play tailback for all intents and purposes. So, I’m not sure what position that Fulcher will play.
Last year as a junior, Fulcher was primarily a running back, carrying the ball 54 times for 303 yards for 5.6 yards per attempt and 4 touchdowns. Fulcher only caught the ball 9 times for 139 yards, nearly 28 yards per catch. For a guy his size and height, Fulcher does do a good job of finding space and running between the tackles. He picks up blockers well, he is pretty skinny, but he does a good job of fighting. Your guess is as good as mine in terms of what Fulcher will play. I’m guessing wide receiver.
