LAJ’s Don Williams reports that what was supposed to be Texas Tech’s incoming solution to outside shooting will not be attending Texas Tech and is being asked out of his signing of his Letter of Intent:

In a statement Texans coach Steve Green sent to A-J Media, Brangers said, “After talking with my family, I have decided that it would be best to continue my college athletic career closer to home to be near my grandma in this difficult time.

“I appreciate Coach (Chris) Beard for allowing this to happen for me. I will always be appreciative of the interest Texas Tech had in me and only wish that circumstances were different. This has been a very difficult time, and I want to thank everyone for their understanding in this decision.”

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in this news. I didn’t even want to write this post. I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut and I’m genuinely deflated by this news.
