The Lady Raiders (3-2, 0-0 Big12) play the Prairie View A&M Panthers (3-3, 0-0 SWAC) tonight at 6:30pm CST at “The USA” in Lubbock, TX, This will be the fifth meeting between these two squads. Tech holds the lead 4-0. The Lady Raiders are coming off a weekend tournament where they beat Fordham 59-50 on Friday (Nov 25th) and then fell to the #21/22 Miami Hurricanes on Sunday (56-74). Texas Tech played a back and forth game in the first half and stayed very close with the Hurricanes, but then Miami pulled ahead after going on a 9-0 run in the top of the 4th Qtr. The Lady Raiders, especially Jada Terry, need to improve on their Free-Throws and they need to come out and make their baskets and not have a slow start and especially in Recee Caldwell’s case, have a mental block and not score until the 2nd half. Other than those main two issues, this squad is really good.
