original-double-t RRS’s Will McKay writes about Niem Stevenson and his adjustment to Division I basketball:

“It’s been going good. High intensity, and everybody is buying into the process, and we’re starting to really get the chemistry right. Things are going good. I’ve adjusted well, and I’ve really just been trying to keep with the process.”

Football

original-double-tLAJ’s Krista Pirtle writes about twins D’Onta Foreman and Armanti Foreman and how well they’ve played for Texas this year:

“This is stuff we dream about, this is the stuff we talk about all the time,” D’Onta said after the Baylor game. “(Armanti) comes and sits in my room and we talk about these moments all the time. So to go out there and do it in a big game like this, it’s a game that we really needed to win and I’m so proud of him.”

Chron’s Mike Finger has a similar article:

If D’Onta continues at his current pace – 157.9 yards per game – Armanti might not be able to keep up. The NFL draft will be a tantalizing option for D’Onta next spring.

But it’s not as though Armanti is slacking off. He leads the Longhorns with 27 catches this season and 43.6 receiving yards per game, and he bounced back from an ill-timed drop two weeks at Kansas State to become one of the stars of the upset of Baylor. Armanti said one of his goals is to “make people see what the Foreman twins can really do.” So games like this Saturday’s at Texas Tech come back to the discussion that started in a bedroom years ago.
