Wow. I am a passive baseball fan at best, but last night’s Game 7 was a nailbiting, dramatic experience that I will never forget. Anyone here a Cubs or Indians fan? I can’t imagine how that all felt while it was unfolding. Congratulations for making it through, no matter which team you were rooting for.
Meanwhile, Lubbock hosts a very familiar foe this Saturday. I will finally be taking my mom to a Tech game, and despite growing up out here living in Plainview as a child and graduating from Bledsoe, it will be her first. We’re both pretty excited about it. I really think Tech can and should win this one. Coming out flat at 11am has been sort of our thing here in Lubbock, but not this week. These guys should still be riding high on an overtime win in Fort Worth and will be ready to come out swinging. Texas coming out at initially as four-point favorites should add more fuel to the fire along with some of that “injure that quarterback” talk.
