I haven’t shared one of these in a long time, but Danny MacAskill in Scotland is terrific and the scenery is pretty awesome too.

Lady Raider Basketball
The Lady Raiders were picked to finish 7th in the Big 12 this year, along with Iowa State. I believe this poll is voted on by the coaches. Time to climb out of that cellar.

Athlon Sports’ David Fox has the top 10 most important new hires for 2016 and along with TCU’s Jamie Dixon and Oklahoma State’s Brad Underwood is Texas Tech’s Chris Beard:
Beard’s first season at UALR — and his only as a Division I head coach — was good enough to get him hired twice during the offseason. After going 30–5 with an upset of No. 5 seed Purdue in the NCAA Tournament, Beard took the UNLV job. Less than three weeks later, Tubby Smith moved on to Memphis and Beard returned to Texas Tech, where he served as associate head coach for 10 years under Bob and Pat Knight. Before his lone season in Little Rock, Beard went a combined 66–25 at Division III McMurry and Division II Angelo State. GRADE: B

LAJ’s Don Williams reports that WR Dylan Cantrell was wearing a cast on his left hand up to his forearm on Wednesday. There’s no additional details and we really don’t even know if Cantrell will miss time, but Williams speculates that he will. This would be terrible and I would miss (as would the team probably as well) his sure-handedness on the outside.
A few West Virginia articles for your perusal. The Weirton Daily Times writes about how important the West Virginia running game is. The Intelligencer writes that Texas Tech must rely on their defense against West Virginia. The Charleston Gazette-Mail with a West Virginia football notebook. Also from the Charleston Gazette-Mail is how Holgorsen and Kingsbury come from different branches of the Mike Leach tree.
Kingsbury loves his Mom and Rhianna.
It’s a long road to the College Football Playoff.

This is pretty interesting, via the Chron’s Adam Coleman who reported on a player from Crosby, the high school, who was DM’ed by one of the coaches at IMG Academy in Florida, essentially trying to recruit the kid. The player showed the text to his coach and the coach responded on Twitter calling out this IMG coach.
