Big 12 Media Days – Monday July 18th

Today starts the Big 12 Media Days. You’ll be able to check out the schedule below. For most of you, you only care about Texas Tech and head coach Kliff Kingsbury, where they are slated to be on the main stage at 11:15 this morning.

For those of you who are interested in watching or taping the entire event, the Big 12 Media Days will be on FS2, FOX College Sports Central and FOX Sports Regional Networks. Additionally, you’ll be able to watch on the FOX Sports GO app. Coverage starts at 9:00 a.m. and goes to 1:00 p.m. CST both days. Additional details can be found at the link above.

Make sure and add comments and tweets or whatever in the comments as the day goes along.

News, News, News

• The Big 12 Media Days official page has lots of information and will eventually have links to quotes from the coaches.
• The official Texas Tech site has a “how to follow” post which essentially says to follow the Texas Tech Football Twitter handle and search for the hashtag #wreckem or #big12FB. I really thought that the roster would have dropped yesterday, it usually does drop right before the Big 12 Media Days, but maybe it doesn’t get released until after August 3rd, which is the official report day. And I have gone ahead and re-typed the roster in an excel spreadsheet so that I can do a weight-gain or weight-loss post when the new roster is released.
Land Grant Gauntlet’s Brady Trantham takes a look at what to watch for the Big 12 Media Days this year, including any controversy over Kliff Kingsbury’s watch, which I had totally forgotten about.
CJONline’s Kevin Haskin looks at the other issues looming for the Big 12, other than football, including conference expansion and the Baylor fallout.
DMN’s Chuck Carlton has a primer on Big 12 Media Day
Des Moines Register’s Randy Peterson writes that he hopes the Big 12 settles the expansion issue soon. Peterson also takes a look at all of the Big 12 teams and predicts the season outcome.
NewsOK’s Berry Tramel asks 10 questions in preparation of Big 12 Media Days, including asking if Kingsbury is willing to let things be bygones with Baker Mayfield. I have news for Tramel, which is that Texas Tech and Kingsbury haven’t let it be an issue in a long time, but Mayfield on the other hand . . .
CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd has five things to know about the Big 12 before the media days begin.
