Miscellaneous

Adoption Update. Hey everyone. It’s been a bit hectic, but Youssouf is expected home Saturday night (although this is even tenuous at this point due to “things”). There’s a ton of “things” going on behind the scenes that I’ll have to tell you about at some time. I’ll be taking Monday and Tuesday off of work, but since I get up so early, I can’t imagine blogging being affected, but you never know. Youssouf will arrive at 8:30 on Saturday night, so we’re not exactly sure how tired he will be, or how tired we will be, plus it’s a good hour to and from the airport for us. Will probably post a photo on Twitter if you want to check that out, @SethC_J.

Track & Field

Baseball

Texas Tech Downs Abilene Christian. Texas Tech defeated Abilene Christian, 7-2 last night (recap | box score). The game was relatively close for the better part of the game and Texas Tech was down for the first five innings, but tied things up at 2 in the 6th inning. Texas Tech opened moved ahead 3-2 in the 8th inning and then things opened up 4 runs in the 9th inning. Erikson Lanning got the start, but only lasted 1.2 innings, where he gave up 4 hits, 2 runs, walking none and striking out 2. Dalton Brown pitched in relief, going 2.1 innings and allowings just 2 hits while striking out 2. Ty Harpeanu pitched 2 frames, allowing a hit. Ryan Shetter recorded an out before being pulled with Ryan Moseley getting the win, his 6th of the year, going 1.2 innings and allowing just a hit, walking 1 and striking out 1 with Hayden Howard pitching the final frame. Tanner Gardner was 1-5 with 2 RBI and Corey Raley was 2-5 with 2 RBI.

Top Ten. ESPN actually does college baseball and they also actually have Texas Tech as the #6 team in the nation, one spot ahead of TCU.
