Tubby Smith has left the program for Memphis. Dan and Travis have already contributed their thoughts on the subject and I encourage you to read them. It’s a day of mixed feelings and gut punches for Red Raider basketball.

But, the Spring Game is upon us, and with that in mind, Eats & Bounds is back after a brief hiatus to vacation, sell a house, and move across town out of our first home. My back hurts.

ZZ Top plays tonight, William Clark Green headlines a street concert outside of the Blue Light tomorrow, the Art Festival is in town, and Lubbock is hosting its first Wine Festival.

The Red Raider football program will instead host an open practice for all fans beginning at 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon inside Jones AT&T Stadium. Fans are asked to enter through Gates 1 and 6 located at the southwest and southeast corners of the stadium.

Lubbock Uncorked Wine Festival – 3-9pm

Lubbock Uncorked will set the stage for 20-30 wineries from Lubbock and across the state as well as around the world to share their various wines and education on products and the industry. The event will feature wine tastings, boutique beer tastings, food from local restaurants including food trucks, some of the best music Lubbock has to offer and classes geared toward wine education.
